First Aid Courses
First aid training gives your staff the confidence and ability to react immediately to an incident, injury or illness. The HSE (Health & Safety Executive) recommends that a company with 5-50 employees, should have at least one person trained in first aid. Another first-aider should be in place for every 50 workers after that.
For low risk workplaces with 25-50 people, there should be at least one first aider who holds an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, with another first-aider per 100 employees. You may wish to offer all your employees the chance to do a first aid course.

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator
Annual Refresher First Aid Courses: All first aid courses should be refreshed annually with a 3 hour refresher session covering essential aspects of First Aid, practice and protocols including: CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator), Incident Management, Unconscious Casualty plus any specific workplace requirements. The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Requalifying Course is specifically designed to allow first aiders to renew their first aid at work qualification when their certificate is due to expire. During this 2 day course, candidates will have the opportunity to practice essential first aid procedures, as well as learn the latest techniques for dealing with emergency situations and managing injuries and illnesses in the workplace.
