First Aid Courses

First aid training gives your staff the confidence and ability to react immediately to an incident, injury or illness. The HSE (Health & Safety Executive)  recommends that a company with 5-50 employees, should have at least one person trained in first aid. Another first-aider should be in place for every 50 workers after that.

For low risk workplaces with 25-50 people, there should be at least one first aider who holds an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, with another first-aider per 100 employees. You may wish to offer all your employees the chance to do a first aid course.

This qualification is for people who have a specific interest or responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, in being able to provide basic life support (BLS) when dealing with an emergency situation which may involve using an AED.

This qualification outlines a range of knowledge and practical skills in providing BLS and using an AED safely. Learners will practice assessing and managing a casualty who needs BLS and the safe use of an AED.

Course Description

The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Requalifying Course is specifically designed to allow first aiders to renew their first aid at work qualification when their certificate is due to expire. During this 2 day course, candidates will have the opportunity to practice essential first aid procedures, as well as learn the latest techniques for dealing with emergency situations and managing injuries and illnesses in the workplace. What’s more, as a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks.
