Experience:
As a highly regarded and very experienced training consultant for over 25 years, Jo has successfully trained over 16,000 learners across a range of sectors including NHS, Education, Outdoor Education and Leisure and Hospitality. Participants and peers alike describe her teaching delivery as friendly, interactive, engaging, thought provoking, and empathetic to different learning styles. Most courses are delivered by Jo and she also works in partnership with Kernow Training Solutions.
Credentials & Achievements:
Programmes Jo has managed have been recognised in the top 7% of UK Employer Providers, leading to invitations to speak and share her expertise, most recently at the Employment and Skills Funding Agency Conference in Autumn 2019.
As the Apprenticeships Programme Manager at a large international multi-site organisation, Jo championed apprenticeship delivery within the workplace, with a key focus on employer and learner needs. Skilled in introducing new programmes and compliance activities in line with changing government funding and standard requirements, Jo’s focus has always been on the learners and staff, their experience and health and wellbeing. A key success for any organisation to be able to thrive.
Qualifications:
Jo is also an approved Mental Health First Aid England Instructor. She has introduced and managed countless successful workplace training courses, workshops, seminars and qualifications including First Aid, Leadership and Management, E-Learning and many more, ensuring all learners get the very most out of their courses. She was integral to the Mental Health Agenda at PGL Travel Ltd, from being available for staff to talk to, delivering mental health training for over 200 staff, to guiding the Directors in creating a workplace ethos with wellbeing at the heart.
Jo has been instrumental in influencing the development of Outdoor Activity Instructor standards and sector specific National Occupational Standards so it’s no surprise that organisations of all sizes are calling on her knowledge and experience for support, and that learners return to Jo for their refresher courses time and time again.
